Outdoor Training is Back
Ric Mash PT, 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 'Safe Zone' Training
As of 15th June 2020 we are now able to offer outdoor training sessions again on a smaller scale. It is possible to train 1 to 1 or 2 to 1 in our outside space, or up to 3-4 people from the same household. The pictures above show the 'Safe Zones' marked out with a clear 2 metre gap between them and another 2 metre gap to seperate the trainer from those training. Equipment is limited, but what is used will be cleaned thoroughly before, during and after use in line with the government guidelines. We have created a clear access route and set up designated 'hygiene' zones with hand sanitiser and cleaning equipment that clients will be encouraged to use.
From 22nd June 2020 we have been granted permission to use North Walsham Memorial Park as a training venue. This will be used more for slightly larger groups of up to 5 people at a time. The same principles of the 1 to 1 training will apply with the 2 metre distancing zones in place (marked out with cones), cleaning and sanitising products will be available and any equipment used will be cleaned thoroughly.
There will be strict measures in place for all forms of our outdoor training sessions with risk assessments and special checks put in place to maximise the safety of our clients, members of the public and us (trainer/assisstant).
Over the lockdown period we have been offering a number of different services to help our clients and others stay active. We've turned to virtual training running two classes a week via Zoom, on Monday evenings at 6pm we introduced a Weights @ Home Class for people who had weights such as dumbbells, kettlebells or whatever else they could get their hands on such as cans, water bottles etc and a Boxing Fit Style Session on Friday evenings at 6:15pm that focused more on the cardio and conditioning element of training.
We have posted exercise videos on our Facebook page to encourage kids and families to exercise and stay (get) active together, these sessions were designed to be short and sharp and based around themes that children (and adults) would enjoy. We covered Space, Dinosaurs, Super Heroes and Nursery Rhymes to name a few with specific exercises adapted to mimmick movements relevant to the topics.
We also set up Exercise at Home online using the PT Distinction App, this allowed some of our clients to continue with their exercise routines in line with their own schedules and lifestyles.
We have also been able to use Skype and Messenger to train and keep in touch with some of our regular clients on a weekly basis and it's been fantastic to see them wanting to improve and maintain their fitness and activity levels in their own homes.

Social Fitness 2019 - A Good Start to the Year
We saw a good turn out for our first Social Fitness session of the new year at a fantastic new venue, Yendell's Health & Wellness Hub in North Walsham.
The group took part in a circuit style session using kettlbells and bodyweight exercises which included a 'Dirty Thirty' circuit where they were encouraged to complete 30 reps of each exercise, if they succeeded they moved onto a 'Twenty's Plenty' circuit followed by 'Tick off the Ten's', which I think everybody reached.
The session finished with a friendly but competitive cone reaction game (pictured).
If you fancy coming along to check us out the class starts at 6:15pm on Monday nights at Yendell's Health & Wellness Hub.
If you want more details drop us a message or check out our Facebook page.

Full Time Training Coming in June '18
As of 11th June 2018 we will have a wider range of time slots available for existing and new clients to take advantage of, this will open up the opportunity for you to train more flexibly around your schedule (although still on a first come first served basis) or if you prefer to plan things in advance there will also be more options to book ongoing weekly slots at the same time and day.
As part of the changes to our services we are looking at running a few small group circuit/ training sessions each week for up to a maximum of 4 people... the circuits would be based on general fitness and conditioning to start with for general populations although if a group of like-minded people wanted to get together to train for a specific event then that could be considered too.
If anyone is interested check out our Facebook page and comment or alternatively contact us via the email here.
